The visa allows parents or guardians to stay in Australia to provide care and support for a child under the age of 18, who is studying in Australia. You can stay for up to five years at a time without departing. Your visa length will usually be the same as the student visa holder's stay. This visa provides an alternative option to visitor visas which only allow shorter periods of stay.
